well, this should probably be updated, but...

last update who knows...

I am a singer, composer, and instrumentalist who currently teaches choral and general music at Crossett Brook Middle School in Duxbury, Vermont.
I sing tenor/countertenor, as well as adding some percussive accents, with Counterpoint, and also sing with VoxFour, an a capella quartet. I am also a member of AH! Cappella, a vocal ensemble sponsored by the Vermont Symphony Orchestra that performs concerts for Vermont schools. I have recorded on the Arabesque label with Mr. De Cormier, including "The Emperor of Atlantis" and "The Jolly Beggars". I also recorded Dennis Murphy's "A Perfect Day" with the Fyre and Lightning Consort. I have performed as a soloist at Carnegie Hall, singing "Carmina Burana", "Shout For Joy", and "Chichester Psalms" with the New York Choral Society, under the baton of John Daly Goodwin and Mr. De Cormier. I also recently performed Bernstein's "Chichester Psalms" with the Dartmouth Chamber Singers and the Middlebury College Choir.
As a composer, I received the commission for the 75th Vermont All-State Chorus Festival. My piece "Atom Spin", was performed in May at Burlington's Flynn Theatre. Warner Bros. has published my "Short Mass".
I play bass and compose for the Jazz Cannibals, a jazz quintet based in Montpelier, Vermont. We are currently undergoing some line-up changes, so in the meantime, I've been gigging out with Jenni Johnson, and Bob Gagnon, and whoever else wants me to play!
as a hobby I design and maintain a couple of websites, including the Counterpoint site(see above for a link), and the church site, Barre Universalist Church. oh, and this site, of course!
I live in Barre, Vermont, and have three sons, Chellis, Emerson, and Lincoln.
