an afternoon's

journey...
first, a blog you should read: David Byrne. I'm very much enjoying his Philosophy/Religion posts.

and then, another interesting site: BLDGblog

and, like we didn't know this already? Elephant, know thyself

and finally, Moscow in 1908. now, if only someone would colorize it. it's much too easy to think the world was monochromatic gray.... and I wonder what the music is?
Moscow 1908

edit: I took out the embedded video, and we'll see if that fixes the width issues. I would guess it's a screen resolution issue.

this is very scary

and it's not about Hallowe'en...
Martial Law

In a stealth maneuver, President Bush has signed into law a provision which, according to Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont), will actually encourage the President to declare federal martial law.

I don't expect that we're actually going to get to vote...

happy

BIRTHDAY!!!!
A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CHELLIS!!! THE BIG 16!!!!
so proud of him.

well, tomorrow

is the day...
it looks as if the divorce will be final tomorrow. Monday, that is. enough said.

easy as

pie...
he sure makes it look easy...

happy Friday!!

a proud

father...
Chellis was one of six inductees to the Twinfield chapter of the National Honor Society this evening! I'm pretty VERY proud. it was great to hear some of his teachers and his principal say such nice things about him. they like (and respect) him almost as much as I do.
and while I'm on the topic of fatherly pride, I'll mention Emerson and Lincoln and their wonderful ability to play soccer and not really care whether they win or lose. they certainly didn't get that from me....
busy Counterpoint weekend coming up. maybe I'll see some of you at a concert!
