grrr...a couple of apologies:

first, that I haven't written anything for so long. just busy, and not feeling a need, I guess.
and second, I have had some problems with some sort of re-direct script getting inserted into several of my pages recently. usually with little obvious effect, but today, most of my front page was missing. I think I'll basically pull the site today (this evening), and finally do an update of my software. I'm using an older version of my blogging software, and it is, apparently, no longer secure at all.

so, blah. sometimes people really suck.

sort of...true, it is a week that I don't need to teach, but whew, it's already filling up!

Monday - I met with Bess today for four hours about Voices music. a good session, but it just points out how much I have to do yet. ah well. I at least can be creative without having had to teach all day long.
Tuesday - Voices work/Annie work/ and I should look at my taxes and do trash and recycling. the only problem there is that we are forecast for a Winter Storm that is supposed to dump 16 inches of snow on us by Wednesday evening. oy.
Wednesday - more of the same. I'm glad to have these days! though I expect I will need to shovel...
Thursday - I'll meet with Bess again, and hopefully have most of the songs pretty close to done. then Counterpoint rehearsal in the evening, and I will head to Middletown Springs after that to spend Friday with Melissa and Robin. that will be nice!
Friday - walks and talks and hanging out at the Chesnut-Tangerman's! yay!
Saturday - Counterpoint is doing a school workshop/concert at MillRiver HS in Rutland. (that's why I came down to Robin & Melissa's) Should be fun; they have a great program there. we did one with them a couple of years back, and they were terrific!
Sunday - church in the morning, and then more Voices/Annie, I would suspect. I meeting with Bess again that following Monday, so...

and that's vacation! it's pretty quiet without Chellis around (not that he's noisy, but), and definitely a different feel around the house. I'm sure there are several things I left out, and other things will crop up as the week goes along.

have a great week!

ah, procrastination...well, I should be doing a couple of other things, so I thought I would do this instead.

the coming week....
Monday - school, then Bess is coming over to listen to Voices music. I got some stuff written last week, and will write some more tonight, so it won't be a total bust. oh yeah, hopefully the van will be out of the shop (oh crap, how's that going to work with Bess coming over?...).
Tuesday - we have a combined concert at school with our sister middle school, so a group rehearsal in the morning (note to self, better ask for a sub for those classes I'm going to miss....), then the concert that evening. should be fun, and it's always good to get these kids together since they'll be in HS together.
Wednesday - something will come up, I'm sure...
Thursday - school, then I need to drive to Hanover for rehearsal. should be fun, though.
Friday - school, then down to Dartmouth for the concert. this should be fine, depending, of course, on how rehearsal went...
Saturday - Chellis and I are going to Middlebury for an A Capella Summit! this should be a great time, and I'll get to see my friends in the House Jacks. (I met them last year at Solarfest.) oh, and it's now February vacation! yay!
Sunday - a sad day, since Chellis leaves for a visit to Iowa. but it will be good to have some time alone; to get some work done.

ok, I'm sure there are things I've forgotten, like Annie rehearsals, and Counterpoint stuff, and, and...

already...a quick update and future look-see...

Monday - the van blew a headgasket on the way to work. ouch. likely to be at least $1600 and I won't see it until Friday. a bit of a mad scramble all day long to keep my head in work (not entirely successful), and then running around to try to find some wheels. thank you Margaret for driving me around, and finally all the way home!! this is apparently the high season for car rentals, as not a single place in Barre/Montpelier had anything available. but, thanks to a couple from church, I will be mobile again tomorrow. I'm taking the day off from school, to get things in order, and to get my head back together. it has been falling apart like the van.

Tuesday - this was to have been Chellis drivers test day, (the third day we've tried and failed to make it happen, none of which have been his fault.) but instead who knows what the day will bring. I don't. other than I have massive amounts of music to write and produce for the Voices movie. oh, I'm feeling so inspired and creative lately...

Wednesday - school, and then a music meeting for the movie, when I get to show the producer/director how brilliant I have been over the last two weeks. see why I'm so excited? oy.

Thursday - school, Annie practice after school, then Counterpoint. a "normal" day.

Friday - hopefully the van will be done. after school I'll deal with that, and then go home and get drunk.

Saturday - shh! there's nothing on the calendar.

Sunday - church, then a rehearsal at Dartmouth for a piece I'm doing (tenor soloist in a quartet) next Friday. and I might have a date after that. we'll see.

yeah.
